TabTrade Review - The Good and the Catch
Tab Trade — The Short Version
TabTrade.com launched in March 2026. Trading platform registered in Saint Lucia, under the Financial Services Regulatory Authority. The founder is Benjamin Boulter. Before this, he was in leadership at BlackBull Markets, an well-known broker.
That last detail matters. It suggests the founder is not figuring it out from scratch. That is not a guarantee. It is preferable to a founder with no industry background.
They launched with Equinix LD4/LD5 connectivity. Same infrastructure institutional desks use. The typical new launch focuses on ads and sign-up promos. These guys led with infrastructure. Not the typical playbook.
Market coverage: FX, indices, metals, commodities, shares, crypto, exchange-traded funds. 1,000+. For a platform that is a few months old, that range is solid.
What You Trade On
They offer: MT5, cTrader by Spotware, and a browser platform. Both platforms from the same login. A lot of brokers pick one platform. Having both makes a difference. You are not locked into one.
MT5 is the industry standard. Complete charts, automated trading, massive community. If you have traded on MetaTrader before, it is familiar territory.
cTrader is the cleaner option. Cleaner order book. Faster charting. Built-in algo trading. Many people prefer it after using both.
FIX API is offered for bots but needs the VIP tier ($25,000 to open). TradingView charting is reportedly on the roadmap. That would round things out when it lands.
What You Pay
Three tiers: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard account. Spreads from 1.0 pips. Commission-free. Easy to track. No minimum deposit. Works for beginners.
Edge. Interbank-style spreads from 0.0 pips on average. Commission of $3.50 per side. Total cost: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On EUR/USD, the raw spread is frequently a fraction of a pip. So your actual cost per trade can be below 0.5 pips. That is hard to beat for a broker with $0 to start. Most platforms that run raw pricing at this level want $500 or more to open. Tab Trade has no minimum.
VIP account. $25,000 deposit required. FIX connectivity, sub-20ms execution, custom pricing. Not something the average person. Do not worry about it unless you move real size.
Infrastructure
The speed is the thing this broker actually does something different. Equinix data centres. Under 30ms on Edge. Under 20ms on VIP. These are proper execution targets. Most retail brokers run hundreds of milliseconds.
Does it matter? For short-term trading, yes. The gap between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is the difference between. If you swing trade, you will not notice. But the fact that they invested in proper execution. That signals they are not cutting corners on the tech.
Put together those fill times with raw spreads at $3.50 per side and the total package holds up. Not many platforms at this price point offer execution like this.
The FSRA Question
Here is the detail that requires honesty. TabTrade is under Saint Lucia's FSRA. That is offshore. No ASIC. No investor compensation scheme. If operating without FCA or ASIC oversight makes you uncomfortable, look elsewhere. Lots of ASIC-licensed brokers out there.
But. Benjamin Boulter came from BlackBull Markets, a proper broker. The execution setup is expensive. Dodgy operations do not pay for proper execution infrastructure. None of this replace tier-1 regulation. But be part of your decision.
The deal: you trade regulatory safety. What you get instead: 1:1000 leverage, cheap spreads, $0 to start, Equinix execution. Whether the trade-off makes sense comes down to your priorities.
The Bonus
TabTrade offers a welcome bonus of up to two thousand dollars. Usual welcome offer. You deposit, they add bonus funds. Usual conditions attached: minimum lots traded before you can withdraw the bonus. Read the conditions before funding.
